Biography

Ahmad Redza Ahmad Khairuddin is a businessman whose main interest lies in publishing and the distribution of books.  He has more than 15 years of experience in publishing, distribution and retailing, and his publishing house; Mahir Holdings Group and Cerdik Publications Sdn Bhd are currently the leading privately-owned publishing houses in Malaysia.

He obtained a Diploma in Investment Analysis from the University Technology MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, a Bachelors of Business in Business Administration from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia and a Masters of Business Administration from Ohio University, USA.


He is the Chairman of a Parent-Teacher Association for a primary school (SK Seksyen 9, Shah Alam) as well as for a residential secondary school (The Malay College of Kuala Kangsar), both of which have been recognized as ‘high performing schools’ by the Malaysian Ministry of Education.

2005-2010 - He served as a Member of the Board for University Technology MARA (UiTM)

2005-2012 - Vice President of Malaysian Board on Books for Young People (MBBY)

2006-2010 - He served as an Executive Committee of International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY)

2008-2010 - Vice President of IBBY

2008-2011 - He was active with the Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) activities and was Chairman of the Malaysian SIFE Advisory Board

June – Sept 2011 - He was a founding member of SIFE Malaysia Foundation and served as member of the Board of Trustees

2010-2012 - President of IBBY – was elected during the IBBY Congress in Santiago De Compostela in Sept 2010

2012-2014 - President of IBBY – was elected during the General Assembly of IBBY in London, UK, August 2012
